Snowboard films are often born of homogeneity. It makes sense; any creative endeavor needs a theme to unite the work. Insight is a multifaceted project unified by diversity, and the title is quite literal: it is a look into the individuals, locations, and crews that comprise it. The aim is to delve into the lives of those involved, exposing the particular motivations each has to strap in—be it atop a stairset, powder field or couloir.

In this borderless global documentary, splitboard mountaineer and producer Rafael Pease and crew travel to eight different locations in all corners of the world. Experiencing the most unique untold stories of the ecological conscious that resides deep in the soul of the mountains. Told through the perspective of legendary humans who coincide in these very places. Trudging gear into unseen locations the crew works tirelessly to capture the true essence of being one with the mountain.

Runway Films "Full Moon"

There is no present without the past and no future without the present. Full Moon is a two-year film project featuring Annie Boulanger, Robin Van Gyn, Hana Beaman, Jamie Anderson, Leanne Pelosi, Marie-France Roy, and Helen Schettini. With the voices of the legends at their backs, the Full Moon crew is off to make their own mark in snowboarding while paying tribute to their influencers and forging new community.

In literary terms, RESOLUTION is the act of finding closure to the elements that have driven the narrative up to that point. Within the visual realm, RESOLUTION refers to the sharpness of an image, while the most ubiquitous use of RESOLUTION is in the context of achieving one’s own ambitious goals. For the 2015/2016 winter, SNOWBOARDER has brought together the most inspiring list of past, present and future icons to appear on a single snowboard film marquee in recent memory.
Regardless of affinity, age, experience, style or skill, every rider comes into a new season with the desire to enrich their own snowboarding canon. This could be exploring new terrain, perfecting a certain trick or simply making more time to enjoy the common pursuit of riding for riding’s sake.
Jake Blauvelt, Lucas Magoon, Ben Ferguson, Chris Grenier, Terje Haakonsen, Frank April, Mikey Rencz, Danny Davis, Harrison Gordon, Bryan Iguchi, Scott Blum, Mikkel Bang, Louif Paradis and Jamie Lynn each have their own motivations that will define this season and what you will witness this fall on the silver screen is their RESOLUTION.
